Students: Summons and Detentions
1-According to the statements of Mostafa Pahlevani the secretary of the Islamic Associations of Boo Ali and Medical University of Hamedan, 5 members of these associations were summoned to the disciplinary committees of these universities.(ISNA 26/5/2006)
2-Navid Gholami, Behrooz Khaleghi, Morteza Boreshjan, Emad Behavar, Alireza Farokh nia and Azadeh Zia the students of Yazd University charged with obstruction and disturbing public opinion by publishing manifestations to boycotting the elections, were summoned to Yazd Islamic Revolution’s Court Branch 3.Amir Eshaghi the other student of this university was summoned to Yazd review court branch 5. 3-Majid Ashraf Nejad, Aboozar Poozesh, Ehsan Boloori and Hamed Taherkhani the members of Islamic Association Council of students, Poorya Nabati the member of University’s Council, Mahdi Babaee and Sadegh Mohammadi the students of Shahid Rajaee University were summoned to the disciplinary committee of this university.(ILNA 24/3/85)
4-Asoo Saleh the secretary of “Hajan” cultural-research institute, Asaad Baghery the secretary of the Students Islamic Association and Shooresh Moradi one of the student activists of Kurdistan University were summoned to the disciplinary committee of the university.(ILNA 27/3/85)
5-Three students of Amir Kabir University were summoned to the disciplinary committee of this university, and 11 publications of this university have been closed. (ISNA 28/3/85)

6-Davood Hasan Poor Tehran University student, charged with propaganda against the state and and disturbing public opinion with complaint of public prosecutor was tried in Tehran’s revolution’s court branch 13.According to the statements of this student his confessions in the prison was because of the pressures on him.(ILNA 6/4/85)
7-Mohammad Reza Rahimi the student of Yazd University, charged with insulting Khameneii and disturbing public opinion with the complaint of the security forces and theological Guardian’s representative office in he university was tried in Yazd revolution’s court branch 1.(ILNA 9/3/85)
8-Mohammad Reza Rahimi, Behrooz Khaleghi, Alireza Farokh Nia, Emad Behavar, Navid Gholami Yazd University students charged with insulting Khameneii and disturbing public opinion with public prosecutor’s complaint were tried in Yazd revolution’s court branch 5. These students had been sentenced to imprisonment in another trial in Yazd revolution’s court branch 2.(ILNA 10/3/85)
9-Jamshid Khatami the director in charge of student publication “Jameeh”was tried in the court house of Mashad. (ISNA 19/3/85)
Students: Detentions
10-According to the statements of Ali Nikoo Nesbati the member of main council of “Daftar-e-Tahkim-e-Vahdat” a group of vigilantes attacked a students meeting in Tehran University, which was held for protesting against the repressive atmosphere of the universities and untimely retirement of 6 professors (Dr.Doroodian, Dr.Raees Toosi, Dr.Ashoori, Dr.Saee, Dr.Araghi, and Dr.Safaee) of this university.In this attack 15 persons were detained, 70 persons got injured and some parts of students dormitory were damaged. Also Mojtaba Bayat and 18 other students were summoned to the disciplinary committee of the university.(ILNA & Radio Farda 3/3/85)
11-Sara Saeedi, Sahar Reza Zadeh, Pegah Hamzeii, Erfan Javanmard, Farhad Ghorbanzadeh, Faris Hashemi, Hooman Kazemian, Parviz Piran, Mojtaba Bayat, Mahdi Shirzad, Shahoo Rastegari, Hooman Bakhsh Ali Zadeh, Behnam Sepehrmand, Reza Ghazi noori, and Jolan Farhadi the students of Tehran University were detained by security forces.(Advar News 7/3/85)
12-Mohsen Alamooti director in charge of student publication “Besharat” and Mehri Hasanzadeh director in charge of student publication “Oboor” the members of Students Islamic Association of Kermanshah Razi University, were detained by vigilantes security forces and transferred to Dizel Abad Prison in Kermanshah.(ISNA 7/3/85)
13-Sajad Niknam the secretary of Student Islamic Association of Oroomiyeh University was detained after interrogation by intelligence office.(Advar News 7/3/85)

16-Acording to the statements of Mohammad Ali Dadkhah, defending attorney of imprisoned students Yashar Ghajar and Abed Tavancheh, the files of his clients have been sent to evolution’s Court House Branch 14.By the order of the interrogator these students do not have the right of visiting their defending attorney in Evin prison.(ISNA 16/3/85)

17-Ali Sadeghi the former secretary of Students Islamic Association of Khajeh Nasir University, charged with insulting, calumniation and publishing lies was sentenced to 1 year suspended imprisonment in Tehran’s Penal Court Branch 23.(ISNA 21/3/85)
18-Salman Sima Azad University Branch Tehran South student and the director in charge of the student publication “Sokhan-e-Tazeh” was sentenced to one semester suspension from educating and one semester banishment to Karadj branch by the disciplinary committee of the university.(ILNA 5/3/85)

19-According to the statements of Soroosh Hashem Poor the former member of Islamic Association of veterinary faculty of Ahvaz Chamran University, during the election of guild council of this university the election board has rejected the competence of 90 persons among 250 persons.(ILNA 22/5/2006)
20- Follows with the speech of Ali Akbar Moosavi Khoeini in Sistan Baloochestan University, with complaint of student mobilization and the sentence of the observer committee on student formations the activities of Islamic Association of this university have been suspended for 4 months.(ISNA 23/5/2006)

29-“Neday-e-Azarabadegan” newspaper, publishes in Tabriz was closed with the order of judiciary officials. The security forces restricted the distribution of the volumes 291 and 292.(ILNA 2/6/2006)
30-“Neday-e-Hashtrood” publication was closed for publishing an article written by Jafar Khosravi with title “you are telling the truth”. The writer was interrogated in intelligence office. (Peyk-e-Iran 5/6/2006)
31-According to the statements of Kamal Daneshyar the chairman of Energy Commission of Islamic Consultative Assembly, with closing Iran newspaper 7000 persons have lost their jobs.(ILNA 11/6/2006)
32-The weekly publication “Ayeneh” with directing in charge of Mohammad Reza Jandaghi Zadeh, after publishing 26 volumes was closed with the order of Islamic culture and guidance ministry.(ILNA 14/6/2006)

33-Mehrdad Ghasem Far the editor in chief of “Iran-e-Jome” monograph and Mana Neyestani the cartoonist of this newspaper charged with publishing dividing and stimulating subjects with complaint of intelligence ministry and public prosecutor were interrogated in government officers court and then they got detained.(ILNA 23/5/2006)
34- Ooraj Amiri and his wife the journalist of local publications in Marand Township after being assaulted in their house were detained by the security forces. The officers after searching the house took their PC and some hand writings and documents with them. (Tabriz News 25/5/2006)
35-Vahid Dargahi the editor in chief of “Avaye Ardebil” weekly, Ali Nazari the editor in chief of “Araz” weekly and Reza Kazemi the member of writing boards of “Araz”, “Yapagh”, and “Yashmagh” were arrested by security forces in Ardebil.(Committee for Defense of the Political Prisoners of Azerbaijan –ASMAK 27/5/2006)
36-Amin Movahedi journalist and human right activist, was arrested by the security forces in Meshkin Shahr. (Tabriz News 26/5/2006)
37-Ali Hamed Iran director in charge of the closed weekly “Shams-e-Tabriz” charged with attending in an illegal rally and his activities refer to Azerbaijan affairs in recent years was arrested by security forces in Tabriz.(ILNA 30/5/2006)
38-Zohreh Vafaee the director of “Zaynab Pasha” publishing company and the director in charge of comedy publication “Javaldooz” was detained by intelligence ministry oficers. 39-“Nedaye Ardebil” publication was closed, and Mohammad Yoosefi and Akbar Ghorbanian its writers were arrested by the intelligence ministry officers. 57-Seyed Abbas Maddah director in charge of the closed weekly magazine “Talash” charged with publishing lies with the aim of disturbing public opinion, fabrication and insulting, with complaint of public prosecutor was tried in Tehran’s penal court branch 76 with Judge Mohammad Reza Saremi judgment. Previously he was tried in Tehran’s general court branch 1083 with Judge Hoseinian judgment for the accusations of fabrication and insulting and was sentenced to the payment of 6,000,000 Rials fine.(ILNA 28/5/2006)

69-According to the statements of Mashallah Shamsol Vaezin the spokesman of Press Freedom Defenders Association, there is no free environment for the presses. As an example has claimed that “I am deprived from working in press after being released on bail from the prison and some of my colleagues have the same situation”. He also added that “we have three rights as following: 1- The right of publishing news and information freely 2- The right of having job surety for the journalists 3- The right of having fair trials in the case of complaints against the journalists. And presently in Iran these 3 rights have been ignored by the government. (Gozaresh magazine may 05)
70-According to the statements of Shahla Lahiji director of publishing co “Roshangaran”, in Iran all the stages of printing and publishing process is depended to the Islamic culture and guidance ministry and therefore publisher is more submissive to a governmental organization instead of being depended upon a guild cooperation. And this fact has made the reader not to trust to national and international literary works. (Gozaresh magazine may 05)
71-Khaled Hoseini and his wife Leila Rahmat Panah the members of “Children Rights Defenders Society”, “Women Rights Defenders Society” and “the society of workers against unemployment” were interrogated in intelligence office of Saghez.( the society of workers against unemployment 24/5/2006)
72-Roya Tolooee editor in chief of the closed publication “Rasan” and a member of women committee for defending peace and human rights who was arrested during last year protestations in Sanandadj, after 66 days was released on bail. During an interview with Daily Telegraph she said that during the detention she was tortured and got raped by Sanandadj’s public prosecutor Amiri.(Rooz 29/5/2006)
73- The security officers of Mehrabad airport prohibited Isa Saharkhiz from traveling to Malezia for attending in the Conference of Asian Press Masters. He said: “many intellectuals and independent journalists are facing with the same problem” he also added that: “Mohammad Seif Zadeh, Fatemeh Govaraee, Ahmad Zayd Abadi, and Emadedin Baghi are a number of persons who are prohibited from departing the country”. 75-Parvin Ardalan and Nooshin Ahmadi Khorasani the women movement activists were detained during the gathering in Tehran Hafte Tir square, charged with attempting against the security of state were interrogated for 9 hours and each of them were released on bail of 100 million Rials.(ISNA 21/6/2006)

81-Abbas Amir Entezam temporary government spokesman for having an interview refer to functions of Asadollah Lajevardi had been tried once in 1998 charged with insulting and slander. 84-According to the statements of Mrs.Bani Doogal, Bahai’s society representative in United Nations Organization 54 Bahai’s volunteer teachers in Shiraz got arrested by the security forces. These teachers were teaching in class rooms which UNICEF had organized when the security forces arrested them, and their accusations have not been cleared for them.(Radio Farda 24/5/2006)
85-Follow with the publishing an insulting cartoon in governmental newspaper “Iran”, people in Tabriz gathered in central parts of the city for protestation. According to the statements of Najaf Agha Zadeh the chief of judiciary house of Azerbaijan, 50 persons have been arrested during these protestations. (ISNA 24/5/2006)
86- Follow with the publishing an insulting cartoon in governmental newspaper “Iran” people in Tabriz and Oroomieh gathered in central parts of the city for protestation. According to the statements of Esmaeel Ahmadi Moghadam the commander of security forces 50 to 60 people have been arrested in each day.(Aftab 24/5/2006)
87-According to the statements of Esmaeel Ahmadi Moghadam the commander of security forces, the officers of Rasool allah quarters in Sistan Baloochestan have killed 7 persons and arrested 10 to 12 persons.(Aftab 24/5/2006)
88-According to the statements of Morteza Talaee the commander of Tehran’s security forces, 8 people have been arrested in front of Tehran University on charges of disturbing public security and order.(IRNA 24/5/2006)
89-Follow with the publishing an insulting cartoon in governmental newspaper “Iran” people in several towns gathered in central parts of the cities for protestation. According to the statements of Akbar Feyz the head of judiciary house of West Azerbaijan, 250 persons among the protestors have been arrested by the security forces.(ISNA 26/5/2006)

113-Abolzahra Hiachi, Yahya Naseri, Risan Savari, Abdol Emam Zaeri, Jafar Savari, Mohammad Ali Savari, Hamzeh Savari, Nazem Barihi, Zamen Bavi, Iranian Arab activists who are aged from18 to 20, charged with bombing Ahvaz oil pipes were sentenced to death by judiciary force. Emadedin Baghi the chair man of prisoners’ right defenders association has written a letter to Hashemi Shahroodi the head of judiciary force and Gholam Hosein Mohseni Ejeii the minister of Intelligence Ministry and asked for a second trial with the presence of defending attorneys. 114-Chief of Ardebil prison has prevented the family of Abbas Lesani from visiting him in the prison because of the gravity of his health according to his hunger strike. Abbas Lesani one of the writers of “Neday-e-Ardebil” publication was detained in June 3rd and took his computer with them. Also Amir Hosein Movahedi, a journalist was detained by the order of Heydari the interrogator of Meshkin Shahr Islamic Revolution’s Court Branch 1 and released on bail of 200 million Rials.
