Ladies and Gentlemen,

According to the news from the media and the latest statements of the Syndicate of Workers of Tehran and Suburbs Bus Company-Vahed, on Thursday and Friday of last week Judge Mortazavi issued an arrest warrant. The special security forces of the Iranian regime entered the houses of the executive board members of the Syndicate and arrested some of its members.

In response, the drivers of Bus Company-Vahed have started strike action on Sunday (04/10/1368= December 25th 2005). According to the information received from the media, the strikers and their families were beaten by the regime’s police forces. There were also 20 or more arrests.

All but Mr. Mansour e Asanloo and those arrested during the strike are freed. There is no word on their whereabouts. The names of people whose condition are unknown are listed below:

1- Mr. Mansour Osanlou

2- Mr. Saeid Torabian

3- Mr. Nasser Gholami

4- Mr. Davoud Razavi

5- Mr. Yaghob Salimi

6- Mr. Javad Kefaiati

 

In the name of liberty and justice, we ask you to write letters, email or protest the Islamic Republic of Iran for the immediate release of those arrested.
