VIENNA - Iran's main opposition group demonstrated outside the International Atomic Energy Agency's (IAEA) Vienna headquarters on Monday demanding Tehran be referred to the United Nations Security Council over its refusal to abandon its nuclear program.

The IAEA's executive was meeting to discuss Iran's resumption of nuclear fuel development.

"We want this case to be referred immediately to the United Nations Security Council and for inspectors to be sent to Iran," said Shahin Gobadi, spokesman for the National Council of Resistance Iran (NCRI).

The NCRI is an exiled opposition group which frequently makes accusations against the regime in Iran, and its claims on the nuclear issue appear most frequently in the run-up to International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) meetings.

The group is also linked to the People's Mujahedeen, which is classified as a terrorist group by both the United States and the European Union.
