Student: Trial
1) 46 students of Shahr Rey Azad university had received sentences in disciplinary committee for, in the process of fighting against inappropriately dressed people. Just three of them were summoned and
interrogated but the other 43 were tried without having the chance defending themselves.
These are the sentenced students’ names:

4) Alireza Valian, Kashan University’s Islamic Associations’ secretary was sentenced to one semester suspension in revision disciplinary committee .(Isna.2007.Sep.3)
5) Meisam Golestani, Esfahan University‘s Islamic association’s member was sentenced to one year suspended imprisonment for participating in illegal gathering of student’s day. (Ilna.200.Sep.3)
6) Amir Hossein Etemadi, Tehran University’s graduated student was sentenced to 2 years suspended imprisonment in Tehran revolutionary court, branch no.15.he was charged with acting against the security of state. Filtering news sites and dissolving social organisations

17) Sanaz Allahbadashti, Etemad Melli Daily’s reporter was sent out of Alireza Jamshidi’s speech because of asking question about violating citizens’ right. 25) Aso Saleh, member of the ‘Didgah’ magazine’s editorial staff was sentenced to one year suspended imprisonment in Sanandaj revolutionary court branch no.1.(Akhbar Rooz.2007.Aug.25)
26) Elyas Hazrati, editor in charge of ‘Etemad’ daily was sentenced to paying 4000$ punishment in Tehran penal court, branch no.76. 27) Mohammad Hossein Daryabari, editor in charge of ‘Goyeh’ magazine was sentenced to 200$ punishment for disturbing public opinion and acting against public chastity. Abas Hatami another member of the magazine staffs was sentenced to 150$ punishment for disturbing public opinion by writing an article. Also Reza Noroozi was sentenced to 100$ punishment. 28) Masod Bastani, journalist, was summoned to executive court. He was sentenced to 350$ punishment and lashes. (Isna.2007.Sep.7)

29) Drs, Hossein Bashiriyeh ,Hadi Sati, Behzad Shahandeh and Jalalaldin Kazazi, professors of Tehran and Tabatabai universities were fired as a result of non acceptable absences .it should be mentioned that during last 2 years many professors were made retired or fired. (Etemad Meli.2007.Aug.24)
30) Javid Asadzadeh, weblog writer was attacked; nightly in away that his teeth and jaw were broken. He had revealed the land and building mafias in Uromiyeh. (Asr Iran.2007.Aug.28)
31) Drs, Ahmad Ghazizadeh,Farasat Ardalan,Mozafar Firozmanesh, Hoshang Zandi and Parvin Manaseki the Kurdistan university’s scientific council were retired by compulsion. (Kurdistan Human Rights Organization – RMMK, 2007.Aug.14)
32) Atiyeh Taheri, Saeed Matinpoor‘s and Mina Kamrani, Saleh Kamrani’s wives were threatened to be arrested under the accusation of interviewing foreign medias relating their husbands situation in prison. (Hagigat Weblog.2007.Sep.5)
33) Dr. Jafari, political science professor of Esfahan University was fired. (Etemad Melli.2007.Sep.5)
34) Emadaldin Baghi, prisoners’ defender organisation’s head, demanded in an open letter to governmental or non governmental reformist groups, not to be regardless to recent large wave of executions in Iran. He announced in last 7 months 170 were executed in Iran. Surveys show 100% increase in executions in compare with the same period, last year. Lots of executed did not commit soul murders, they did not have counsellors or had not revision courts or execution was not the penalty of what they had committed. (Norooz.2007.Sep.6)

46) Leila Heidari, was arrested while referring to Zanjan’s security office, visiting his husband, Behrooz Safari. Also Ali Reza Matinpoor was arrested in his office and was transferred to Zanjan prison .His brother Saeed Matinpoor is in detention for 3 past months. (Hagh Weblog.2007.Sep.4)
47) Saeed Sharifpoor, Hiva Sharifi, Mehran Salimi, Havari Keikhosravi and Aref Abdallahzadeh were sentenced to imprisonment in Saghez revolutionary court, for having relation with a Kurd opposed group. 48) Javad Rajabzadeh, the Azerbaijan national movement activist was arrested in Sep.8 by Sepah guards. (Savalansesi.2007.Sep.12)
49) Hojat AlIslam Hadi Ghabel, member of ‘Iranian Partnership’ organisation central council was arrested by clergy court’s guards and transferred to Ghom prison. The guards had inspected his house for hours and banned his personal belongings. (Norooz.2007.Sep.12)
50) Sepideh Pooraghai,human right activist, Ghasem Shirzadian, Weblog writer, Abbas Khorsandi, Mansoor Faraji, Meisam Roodaki and Bahram Rasekhifar, political activists ,were arrested in Tehran by security guards. 51) Maryam Beigzadeh Hemati, Amin Saberi, Mehdi Ghavanlo ,Hossein Baranian, Reza Bakhsh Kalakaki ,Mehdi Ahmadian, Mohsen Agha Babai, the student movement activists and Hasan Nader Maaber, Vahed Rohani, Ali Ghaemkhah, Ahmad Mohtari and Mojtaba Yousefi, were arrested in Tehran, Shiraz and Kermanshah. 52) Eghbal Mosavi, was arrested by security guards in Marivan province. He was charged with having relation with a Kurd opposition. (Kurdistan Human Rights Organization – RMMK.2007.Sep.16)
53) Hojat AlIslam Mahmood Dardkeshan, member of Ghom researchers and teachers was arrested by clergy court’s guards and transferred to Ghom prison. He was charged with having a speech in Esfahan. (Norooz.2007.Sep.17)
54) Tahereh Sodagari, Farshid Sodagari, Mohsen Naderi, Ali Saremi and Pirooz Mansoori were arrested by security guards for participating a commemoration gathering for political prisoners’ massacre in 1988.the security guards had attacked the families whose members where killed at that time, arrested 12 of them and transferred them to Evin prison. 55) Goshtasb Vaseghi and Mahmood Aslani, accused for participating in a gathering in front of Ardebil prison for objecting Abaas Lessani’s human rights, were sentenced to four years imprisonment in revolutionary court, with the charge of spying .they were tried without having attorney.(Savalansesi.2007.Aug.16)
56) Mozafar Reihani was sentenced to 2 years imprisonment .he was charged with cooperating with Kurd opposed groups. He was exiled to Maragheh prison. He is in prison for more than 6 months. (Mokrian News.2007.Aug.23)
57) Ahmad Shirzad, member of ‘Iranian Partnership’ organisation central council and Esfahan representative in 6th assembly was sentenced to imprisonment and monetary punishment in his absence. He was charged with publishing lies for disturbing public opinion and accusing authorities. (Isna.2007.Sep.3)
58) 24 Azerbaijan national movement activists were sentenced to imprisonment and lashes in Ahar Township’s penal court, branch no.102.they were charged with disturbing public order, making crisis, participating in illegal gathering and damaging public and governmental properties. 59) Shoresh Golkar, Sanandaj cultural activist was sentenced to 4 months imprisonment for security reasons. He was arrested and transferred to jail. (Mokrian news.2007.Sep.6)
60) Varia Tadayon was sentenced to 1 year imprisonment, with the charge of cooperating with Kurd opposed groups. He is in prison for more than 6 months. (Mokrian News.2007.Sep.10)
61) Logman Sedagat, Baneh Township teacher was fired, because of disregarding Islamic rules. (Kurdistan Human Rights Organization – RMMK.2007.Sep.16)
62) Rahim Rahimzadeh was sentenced to 3 years imprisonment, with the charge of cooperating with Kurd opposed groups. He is in prison for more than 2 months. (Mokerian News.2007.Sep.10)
63) Mostafa Tajzadeh, member of ‘Iranian Partnership’ organisation central council was sentenced to 300$ monetary punishment and in his absence. He was charged with publishing lies for disturbing public opinion and accusing authorities. (Isna.2007.Sep.3)
64) 1000 teaches, participant in 13March 2007 objecting gathering in front of Islamic Assembly were arrested. In revolutionary court, 300 teachers were tried and received sentences such as, sending out, retirement, banishment, bail issues, monetary punishment and imprisonment. (Norooz.2007.Sep.19)

65) Haleh Esfandiari, Iranian-American researcher, arrested in 8th May 2007, was released on 300,000$ bail. She was105 days in isolated cell and has lost 19 kilos of her weight. (Aftab.2007.Aug.24)
66) Dr. Abbas Shirreza, the security prisoner of Evin prison, chain 350, who was sentenced to 25 years imprisonment for spying the atomic installations in Iran, was again tried for disturbing public opinion and

68) Samko Ghaderpoor, political prisoner, who was sentenced to 11 years imprisonment , was again tried and sentenced to 2 years imprisonment for propaganda against the state .( Mokerian News.2007.Sep.3)
69) Homayoon Jaberi, arrested in front of Osanloo’s house was released on 50,000$ bail. (Isna.2007.Sep.10)
70) Hadi Amadehbaash, who was arrested by clergy court’s order, with the charge of innovation in religion and insulting sacred, was transferred after 50 days of isolated cell in, chain 209, to Andarzgah 7, salon no.5 of Evin prison. (Human right defence committee in Iran 2007.Sep.8)
71) Arjang Davoodi, political prisoner, who was exiled to Bandar Abbas prison, was transferred to Evin prison and interrogated again for new charges as propaganda, act and collusion against state. He was in isolated cell for 5 months and was on a food strike for 23 days. (Human right defence committee in Iran 2007.Sep.12)
72) Mohammad Vahid Rezapoor, arrested in May for advocating Mujahidin organisation, is in food strike. He was kept in isolated cell for 3 months, under severe tortures. Also Mostafa Alavi Jodai, Korosh Falah and Peiman Fatahi, members of Ram Allah organisation were transferred to public chain after several months in isolated cells.(Human right defence committee in Iran 2007.Sep.15)
73) Saeed Masoori and Gholam Hossein Kalbi, members of Mujahidin organisation, who were under execution sentence since 2001, were sentence to life long imprisonment. (Human right defence committee in Iran 2007.Sep.16)
74) Parnaz(Nazi) Azima, Radio Farda ‘s reporter, who was barred from leaving the country since January 2007,with the charge of acting against the security of state, and publishing lies against state by media activities, had leaved the country with a 510,000$ bail. She was under pressure for cooperating with ministry of security and quitting her job in Radio Farda. (Fars.2007.Sep.18)
75) Yahya Kian Tajbakhsh, arrested 4 months ago with the charge of trying for abolishing the state, was released on 100.000$ bail. (Isna.2007.Sep.20)
Women movement activists:
76) Shahnaz Gholami, women movement activist and journalist, was released on 10,000 $ bail after 22 days in detention. She was interrogated with charges such as insulting the president, disturbing public order and persuading public opinion against the state .she is banned from leaving the borders till distinguishing the results of the trial. 77) Reza Dolatshah,Bahman AZadi and Khosro Nasimpoor, Khoram Abad Township’s social activist, participant with 22 other in meeting ‘ change for equality’ were arrested by security guards. Except these three the other were released after being interrogated. (Change for equality site.2007.Sep.16)
78) Mansoor Shojai and Talat Taghinia, women movement activists, were summoned to branch no.1 of Tehran revolutionary court. Their travel to India for a journalistic session was cancelled before for security reasons. (Iranian women organisation.2007.Sep.17)
79) Masomeh Zia, women movement activist, arrested in June 2006 gathering was summoned to branch no.28 of Tehran revolutionary court, for disturbing public order. (Isna.2007.Sep.21)

80) Davood Razavi, bus drivers syndicate’s member was tried in Tehran revolutionary court, branch no.14, for propaganda against state. (Etemad.2007.Aug.23)
81) In a building load falling accident, a 30 years old worker was killed. (Jomhori Islami.2007.Aug.23)
82) Ata Babakhani, bus drivers syndicate’s member was tried in Tehran revolutionary court, branch no.14, for propaganda and acting against security of state. (Isna.2007.Aug.27)
83) A 23 years old worker was killed while working in building in Tehran, zone 4. (Fars.2007.Sep.3)
84) Ali Akbar Shorgashti, moulding depot worker of ‘Iran Khodro’ industry was killed by falling of lift truck’s plate on him. He was killed as a result of industry’s wrong policies that give the job to contractors who have no knowledge of working with these machineries. (Akhbar Rooz.2007.Sep.10)

87) Mohsen Shakeri, Tehran’s Social security chief director said: almost 600000 labours in Tehran are deprived of having health insurance services. Fears of getting fired or decreasing their payments, force them not reporting their situation to related organisations. (Isna.2007.Sep.16)
88) Ali Emami, 26 years old worker of ‘Iran Khodro’ industry was killed while working with pressing machine.(Karko Weblog.2007.Sep.18)
89) Aliyar Alai, 45, a contract worker of ‘Tiam Zarin’ industry was killed while working. Disregarding security points by industry’s responsible was the reason of the accident. (Kargar Weblog.2007.Sep.22)

94) Peimanirad, Mashad public prosecutor’s assistant said: A-K, H-F, M-D and G-R were sentenced to hand amputation for committing robbery in province court. (Isna.2007.Sep.12)
Sentenced to Death: political prisoners
95) Irna news agency reported: Mosa Pirbai, Ahvaz’s public and revolutionary persecutor announced that 3 accused for Ahwaz bombardment in 2005 were executed. The executed names are: Abdalreza Navaseri, 33, Mohammad Ali Savari, 38 and Jafar Savari 23. Abdalreza Navaseri, was in prison since 2000.he was sentenced to 35 years imprisonment in exile. Sentenced to Death
96) Ali was sentenced to death in Tehran penal Court Branch 71, with the charge of murdering Ardeshir. The issued sentence was confirmed in Supreme Court. (Etemad Meli.2007. Aug.25)
97) A man was sentenced to death in Branch 74 of Tehran’s Penal court for murdering Ahmad Hoshyari. The issued sentence was confirmed in Supreme Court. (Iran.2007.Aug.26)
